Magnetic Eyeliner Application Instructions

1. Shake eyeliner well before use - Iron oxides make this magnetic, ensure proper mixing prior to application.

2. Ideally, start with clean eyes.If you use a rich eye cream or oil based skincare products, whether makeup remover, wash or other, make sure you wash your face well to remove any of those remaining oils prior to eyeliner application as any oils may create a barrier on the skin that can interfere with the eyeliner getting a good 'stick' on your eyelids.

3. Apply makeup as usual. If you're going to be applying eyeshadow - do this prior to magnetic eyeliner.

4. Apply 1-2 coats along your upper lid, tucked into your lash line. The closer your magnetic eyeliner gets to your own lashes, the closer your false lashes will sit and ultimately look as seamless and natural as possible.

TIP: If you're new to magnetic eyelashes or if you're having a bit of trouble in the beginning getting those magnets to clip into place, try a second layer.

Ensure adequate coverage to the inner and outer corners. If you have lifting, this is generally where it's going to happen, so just making sure you go along the inner and outer corners thoroughly on application.

Allow eyeliner to dry before application. Once you’ve got your eyeliner applied, wait at least one minute for it to dry before applying your magnetic eyelashes.

*If you need more help with applying liquid eyeliner, see the next collapsible tab - if you're ready to apply your lashes, open up the lash application tab*

WARNING: Never use magnetic eyeliner or lashes
during MRI. Use of magnetic eyeliner or lashes may affect proper function of
hearing aids, pacemakers or defibrillators. If any of these apply to you, we do
not recommend using this product.

Although the magnetic liner and lashes are both a time saver and mess solution, we know that liquid eyeliner can be intimidating, so we’ve compiled a few tips from the experts to help you out:

Makeup 101 - Primer, translucent power or matte eyeshadow are all great to use as a base (however they are not required with QMBeautiMag). Use a finishing powder or your favorite powder eyeshadow palate prior to application as oils on your skin may interfere with the eyeliners ability to stay planted on your lid. For an even more impermeable hold, start with a good eyeshadow primer, followed by the powder of choice.

Guide Lines. When learning to use liquid eyeliner, it can be easier to draw when you have a 'guide line' to follow. Using an angled brush and dark powder eyeshadow, draw a line along your lash line to give yourself a base line on where you will apply your liquid eyeliner, following your lash line from inner to outer corners. A powder line is more forgiving and also helps to deepen the lash line to create an even more cohesive lash look.

Look down at a swivel mirror or tilt your chin up while looking into the mirror and apply your eyeliner. If you are not familiar or comfortable with liquid eyeliner, try applying the liner in the mirror with your chin tilted towards the sky, looking down at the mirror. This eliminates any creases or fine lines on the eyelid and makes it much easier to get a nice straight line.

If you have a standing swivel mirror, use it tilted up towards you while you look down at it to achieve the same affect. This makes the liner even easier as you use the counter surface to steady your arm and hand.

Anchor your hand. Using your pinky as an 'anchor' will help you get a nice clean line. This is where you steady your hand by sticking your pinky finger straight out and leaning it against your cheek while you apply your eyeliner.

Take your time and try to keep it thin. Liquid eyeliner is a practiced art, take your time when applying and focus on getting it nice and close to your lash line. A thin line that follows your lash line will keep from overpowering your eyes or unintentionally altering the shape (unless you're going for that).

Stamp your eyeliner along your lash line rather than gliding it along.

Tuck eyeliner close to your lash line - taking care not to get it in your eyes. This helps to marry the false strip lashes to your own.

If you have hooded eyes - hold this position for a minute while the liner dries to avoid transferring to the lid when you tilt your head back down or look up. Try to get your line thin as this helps ‘open up’ the eyes (see next point about required thickness). If you find the eyeliner is tacky after you have applied your lashes, using a little bit of translucent powder, gently tap along your lash base and eyelid to remove the tack.

Apply a thin line, but ensure it's wide enough for the magnets to grab hold. It sounds more confusing than it really is. You want it thin, as to not overpower your entire eyelid - but wide enough that the lash band magnets are able to connect. Draw your line, start with that, and once the liner is dry, try on the lashes, if they aren’t sticking the way you’d like (and you troubleshooted already), you may need to go a bit wider, either on the inner corner, outer corner, or the entire line.

1. Remove lashes from tray by the band (never by the lashes).

2. Flex Lash Bands - Flex your lash band well (with clean hands). Flexing new bands back and forth in a u-shape between the magnets will help get a nice contour when applying the lashes.

This step will seriously set you up for an ultra comfortable lash fit!

Our bands are made of cotton to ensure a lightweight and comfortable fit; however, they may still come a bit stiff after production, so flexing them back and forth in a U-shape between the magnets will help to get a nice contour when applying the lashes.

Click here to watch a short video with a close-up on flexing your lash band.

3. Trim it if needed. If your lash fits just right, it should start from the inner corner, where the bulk of your lashes begin and end 2-3 lashes in from the outer corners. If you do need to trim them, simply use clippers and snip from the outer corner, one magnet in, butted against the next magnet, try that fit and trim again if necessary

4. Using your precision lash application tweezers, bring your lashes in for the kiss...
We always recommend using our precision lash tweezers to bring your lashes in.

Two reasons for this:
1. Using your fingers on the lashes can flatten the curl and transfer oils.
2. You'll be able to see where you're planting your lash band (or lash segment) before it lands and get it nice and close to your lash line.
Our precision tweezers were specifically designed to be ergonomic. The curved end is designed for precise lash application, whether you're a beginner or a pro - they'll help you.

Grab the lash about half way down so the tweezers don't magnetize to the band when you're applying. What's this? Another visual? Oh yes, we've got that covered (hoping that by now you're seeing that you're not alone on this lash journey)...

Watch one here.

Watch another one here.

Bring your lashes to liner and allow the lash to ‘pop’ into place.

5. Adjustments. When applying your lashes, if you need to move them around, gently pull downwards and reapply.

6. Set and forget. Once you've found the perfect placement and you’re satisfied with how they look and feel – gently push the lashes into place and allow them to 'set'. Once the lashes set into place, you'll be good all day long!

If you want to swap out your lashes during the day (think daytime lash vs evening lash) - removing the lashes may take off a small amount of eyeliner, so a quick reapplication on those areas may be required.

When removing the lashes, gently pull from the outer corner and place back into case, along magnetic holding strip.

ADDITIONAL HELP FOR BEGINNERS

If you're able to position them like a pro right out of the gate, feel free to skip over this part - but since we're here to support everyone from beginner to pro, if you need more tips on applying false lashes, read on..

1. The closer the magnet gets to your lash line, the more natural the lashes will look. This may take a couple of tries but once you get the hang of it, you’re all set!

2. Positioning matters (if you're looking for that seamless finish...)
When you grab your lash with your tweezers, hold them tight, about half way down the lash when bringing them in so that they aren't flopping around. This will make your life much easier (watch the videos linked just above if you want to see what that looks like).

3. Apply with a mirror looking up at you or apply in your mirror, with your chin tilted upwards

This really does help get your lashes close to your lash line. Plus, if you have hooded eyes - this is a game changer.

4. Face your lashes upward, this will help them to curl up, rather than out.

Common question - do I bring them in from the inside or outside?
You can apply inside-out, outside-in, or straight in and then make minor adjustments to the inside/outside corners.
Some people do really well with one method while others do better with a different one - so feel free to try different things to see what feels easiest for you.

We highly recommend using our precision lash tweezers with magnetic lash segments to help with application.

1. Using your lash tweezers, remove a lash segment from their tray starting with the outer corner.

2. Holding your segment close to the end of the lash (this will stop your tweezer from magnetizing to your lash), with lashes facing upwards, bring lashes to magnetic eyeliner and allow the lash to ‘pop’ into place. Gently push lash into liner to ensure a good bond.

The closer the lash segment gets to your lash line, the more natural the lashes will look.

3. Alternate eyes to build your look. Apply the outer lash segment to your opposite eye. As you craft your look, alternate segment application between eyes.

4. Repeat with each lash segment until you have all sections applied (or however many you want!).

This may take a couple of tries but once you get the hang of it, you’re all set!

When removing the lashes, gently pull using lash tweezers and place back into tray, along magnetic holding strip.

To remove your lashes - gently pull the band from the outer corner and remove.

Clean magnets if there is any eyeliner residue and store back in their tray.

To remove magnetic eyeliner - QMBeautiMag sticks quite well to your eyelids (and if you've used FerroLiner in the past, you'll notice that it is not as easy to remove) - Micellar water works really well to remove your eyeliner. Using a cue-tip or our lint free liner remover wands, soak with micellar water or an oil-based makeup remover and gently glide over the liner until it comes off, follow up with your favorite face wash! Try our reusable cotton rounds for an even deeper clean!

Caring for your false lashes will ensure longevity. It's worth the effort because they are reusable and keeping them in tip top shape ensures good hygiene, more use and a great look each time!

Cleaning and Maintaining Your Lashes

1. Avoid applying makeup directly to your false lashes. Apply mascara to your natural lashes just before applying your false lashes. Using mascara helps to blend it all together - so if you do use it, apply prior to strip lash application to avoid using getting it directly on false lashes.

2. Clean your lashes after each use and before storage. After use and before storing your lashes, if there is any eyeliner residue on the lash magnets, you'll want to remove it from the base of your lash band and lash magnets.

You can use clean hands, tweezers or our lint-free flock tip applicators with a bit of micellar water or oil-based makeup remover to gently break it down and wash it off.

If you have any mascara that happened to get on the lashes,
use a clean mascara spoolie to comb through and take off any chunks.

If your lashes are in need of a deep clean (there was a lot of makeup transfer, etc.) - use a disposable bamboo & cotton round and place your strip lashes on top. Soap a disposable flock tip applicator with micellar water or oil-based makeup remover and gently massage the lash band, magnets and fibers to remove leftover mascara, eyeliner, dirt or excess oils.

3. Place lashes back in their lash tray to maintain their shape. FerroLashes come with a magnetic holding strip on the tray, attach your lashes along the magnetic holding band - keep the box open until they dry completely.

Once the bands are dry, close your storage box and they're ready for next use!

For our visual learners - check out a quick video here to see a lash clean in action

Take care of them and they’ll take care of you. Lashes should last 20-30+ wears with proper maintenance and care.

Clear Eyeliner Application Instructions

1. Give eyeliner a little shake.

2. Ideally, start with clean eyes but this liner may be applied in most any circumstance with great results. If you use a rich eye cream or oil based skincare products, whether makeup remover, wash or other, wash your face. Really, for good hygiene, we recommend starting with a clean base anyway.

3. Apply makeup as usual. If you're going to be applying eyeshadow - do this prior to your clear eyeliner.

4. Apply along your upper lid, close to your lash line. The closer your eyeliner gets to your own lashes, the closer your false lashes will sit and ultimately look as seamless and natural as possible.

TIP: Since it's clear, it can be somewhat hard to see how much you've put on. If you're having any issues with any part of the lashes connecting - just add a tiny bit more to that area.

WARNING: QMBeautiBond has a very small amount of iron oxides to help work with magnetic lash bands as well as regular strip lashes. As with magnetic eyeliner that contains a large amount of iron oxides, - do not use during an MRI.

QMBeautiBond has fantastic holding power for your lashes - which also means that it can be difficult to work around natural lashes and make sure there is no mess. Follow these tips to ensure a seamless application process...

Look down while applying (tilt your chin up looking into the mirror or use a swivel mirror pointing up at you). This eliminates any creases or fine lines on the eyelid and makes it much easier to get your liner close to your lash line, but not on your natural lashes.

If you have a standing swivel mirror, use it tilted up towards you while you look down at it to achieve the same affect. This makes the liner even easier as you use the counter surface to steady your arm and hand.

Anchor your hand. Using your pinky as an 'anchor' will steady your hand and help you get a nice clean line. Although it is clear, so this doesn't matter nearly as much as a black eyeliner. This is where you steady your hand by sticking your pinky finger straight out and leaning it against your cheek while you apply your eyeliner.

Tuck eyeliner close to your lash line - taking care not to get it in your eyes. This helps to marry the false strip lashes to your own.

If you have hooded eyes - hold this position so that your liner doesn't stick to your eyelids or transfer when you tilt your head down or look up. It is tacky when first applied, so apply, let it dry for a few seconds and then bring your lashes in. If you find the eyeliner is still tacky after you have applied your lashes, using a little bit of translucent powder, gently tap along your lash base and eyelid to remove the tack.

Tilt your chin up and bring your lashes in and gently press into place.

*HELPFUL TIP* Bring your lashes close to your eyes, without connecting. Line up where you want your false lash to sit before connecting them to your eyeliner (because it will bond instantly). When you line up the lash, bring it straight in and allow it to connect, let go and then using your precision tweezers, adjust and connect the inner and outer corners.

5. Clamp. Once you've applied your lash, using either clean fingers or our GlamGrip Tweezers, gently squeeze them together with your natural lashes to marry it all together. If you need to adjust, it can be helpful to adjust each area as needed. If you want to remove and reapply, gently pull downwards and then reapply.

6. Set and forget. Once you've found the perfect placement and you’re satisfied with how they look and feel – gently push the lashes into place and allow them to 'set'. Once the lashes set into place, you'll be good all day (or night) long!

Take care of them and they’ll take care of you. Lashes should last 20-30+ wears with proper maintenance and care.

Magnetic Lash Anchor Application Instructions

Looking to keep your FerroLashes in place during a wild ride? Look no further than our magnetic lash anchors!

Not only do they sound like something a pirate might use, they'll also keep your lashes secure in even the most blustery conditions (looking at you, hurricanes).

Although not required, you can absolutely use these in addition to your liner/lash application.

Here's how to use them:

First, apply your magnetic lashes and liner of choice as per usual (you know the drill).

Then, grab your anchors with the magnet and lashes facing upward and position them under your natural lashes, at the inner and outer corners of your lash band - right under those trusty magnets.

Taking care not to touch your eyes with the anchors.

Or, if you're feeling extra secure, line them all the way along the band.

If you've ever had issues with getting your lash band close to your natural lashes and looking seamless together - these will help you immensely.

These little friends work like a charm, sandwiching your natural lashes between the magnetic strip and the anchor.

What's truly amazing about lash anchors is that they can be used all by themselves for days where you just don't feel like wearing eyeliner or adhesive!

The best part? They secure your lashes really well - but when you're ready to take 'em off, it's a breeze and there is no damage to your natural lashes - because as you know, we love lashes! Natural ones most importantly...

*We recommend using precision application tweezers when applying anchors so that you can clearly see what you're doing and where the lashes are going*

Now let's get to it! Here's how to apply anchor lashes:

1. Apply a bit of mascara to your natural lashes & allow it to dry. This gives the anchors grip so that they don't slip (away from your lid, that is)

2. Measure lash band and trim if needed - If your lash fits just right, it should start from the inner corner, where the bulk of your lashes begin and end 2-3 lashes in from the outer corners.

If you do need to trim them, simply use clippers and snip from the outer corner, one magnet in, butted against the next magnet, try that fit and trim again if necessary.

3. Flex lash band between magnets to contour to your eyes (with clean hands).

4. Place your lash band on top of upper lash line. It is helpful to hold it close to your lid when you're ready to connect to the anchor so that it gets close to your eyelid and looks seamless.

5. Grab your anchors. Using precision lash tweezers, grab anchor lash by the end of the lashes with the magnet and lash fibers facing upward

6. Position anchor under your natural lash. Align anchor magnet under your lashes and allow to snap together (sandwiching your natural lashes).

7. Do this all the way along the full lash band to complete the look.

Helpful Tip: Looking into the mirror, use one hand to hold the outer corner of the full lash band against your eyelid while bringing the anchor lash in and allow to snap together. Then do this with the inner corner - once they're both connected, adding your inner anchor is super simple and finishes the whole look off nicely!

  • To adjust or remove your anchor lashes, use fingers and carefully slide your anchor lash outward and then adjust/reapply

Reminder: Push your lash band close to your lash line when applying your anchors, this will help your false lashes look as natural as possible.

One last thing - make sure you hold the anchors securely with your tweezers. Don't do this over an open sink - if they fall in, they'll enter the abyss that is the plumbing system.

If purchasing anchors separate from magnetic lashes, make sure the positive/negative side of the lash magnets are in the correct position - if they're the same pole, the anchors won't flow upward into your lashes as they push away from each other.

Warning: This product is not intended for use by children or during an MRI.

To remove your lashes - Use your fingers to carefully slide the anchor outward to remove. Once anchors are removed, your band simply comes off.

Clean magnets if there is any eyeliner or makeup residue and store back in their tray.

Caring for your false lashes will ensure longevity. It's worth the effort because they are reusable and keeping them in tip top shape ensures good hygiene, more use and a great look each time!

Cleaning and Maintaining Your Lashes

1. Avoid applying makeup directly to your false lashes. Applying mascara prior to using your lash anchors is important so that they don't slip off your natural lashes. Wait for your mascara to dry before applying your lashes to avoid makeup transfer.

2. Clean your lashes after each use and before storage. After use and before storing your lashes, if there is any mascara or makeup residue on the lash magnets, you'll want to remove it from the base of your lash band and lash magnets so that they're ready for next use.

You can use clean hands, tweezers or our lint-free flock tip applicators with a bit of micellar water or gentle cleanser to gently break it down and wash it off.

If you have any mascara that happened to get on the lash fibers, use a clean mascara spoolie to comb through and take off any chunks.

If your lashes are in need of a deep clean (there was a lot of makeup transfer, etc.) - use a disposable bamboo & cotton round and place your strip lashes on top. Soap a disposable flock tip applicator with a gentle cleanser or our charcoal face and body bar and gently massage the lash band, magnets and fibers to remove leftover mascara, eyeliner, dirt or excess oils.

Since the anchors are small, using tweezers to secure the lash down and the flock tip applicator in the other hand, gently massage the magnet to ensure it's clean.

3. Place lashes back in their lash tray to maintain their shape. FerroLashes come with a magnetic holding strip on the tray, attach your lashes along the magnetic holding band - keep the box open until they dry completely.

Once the bands are dry, close your storage box and they're ready for next use! The anchors can be placed back into the box or left on the cotton round to dry completely - but remember to put them back when they're dry!

Toubleshooting

If you’re having issues getting the lashes to stick to the eyeliner after 2 coats and it is completely dry, make sure:

That you shake the eyeliner before application. Iron oxides are what makes the formula ferrous (magnetic) and are heavier than the rest of the ingredients and so they tend to settle, shaking the eyeliner will ensure the iron oxides are disbursed through the product properly.

That you have applied the eyeliner wide enough to grab the magnets. There are tiny magnets adhered to the lashes, this is what clicks onto the eyeliner. If the eyeliner is not thick enough along the lash line, the magnets won’t be able to grab onto anything. If you're noticing a particular area that isn't grabbing well, apply a bit more eyeliner to that area and allow to dry, then pop it on!

That your lashes are making connection all the way along your eyeliner. While this might sound silly, it is common to have an area which doesn't have enough coverage to grab the magnet. If you can see that it is making connection, give it a gentle push and allow it to bond - if that doesn't work, just apply a little more eyeliner to that area and then click into place!

That you've flexed your lash band well - if your band is too stiff, the inner or outer corner may pop off. What a quick video here to see how your lash band should look after a good flex...

If you're having issues with the eyeliner sticking to your lid or lifting, this is usually a pretty easy fix!

It can be one of the following (or a combination):

Your liner couldn't bond to your lid. As with any eyeliner, oils are generally unwelcome. Make sure your lids are clear of oils before applying. You can also use a matte powder along your lash line (anywhere the liquid eyeliner will go) as a base prior to application. You can use a matte eyeshadow or a translucent powder. The goal is just to give the eyeliner something matte to hold onto. Think applying something to a shiny surface vs a matte surface. Matte = more better.

Even using a dark matte powder eyeshadow prior to your liquid eyeliner helps to give it something to grab onto as well as gives you some 'give' if your line isn't perfectly smooth. Using an angled brush, draw a line along your lash line.

Your eyeliner feels tacky - When you apply your eyeliner, it does have a tacky feel to it, this helps with initial lash application and should dry - if you have hooded eyes and find that it still feels tacky, simply use a translucent powder and pat along your lash line/base of your lashes to remove the tack entirely.

If you are having trouble with your eyelashes clicking into place, make sure that:

You flex the lash band – if the band is too stiff, the inner or outer corner may pop off. The simple solution is to flex your band to help it contour to your eyes (especially helpful if you have protruding eyes). This is done by taking the lash and flexing it in a u-shape, back and forth, focusing between the magnets. Watch a quick video here.

You have applied the eyeliner wide enough to grab the magnets. There are tiny magnets adhered to the lashes, this is what clicks onto the eyeliner. If the eyeliner is not wide enough along the lash line, the magnets won’t be able to grab onto anything. If you're noticing a particular area that isn't grabbing well, apply a bit more eyeliner to that area and allow to dry, then pop it on!

Another thing that really helps is to apply your eyeliner right along your lash line and eyelid (imagine an L shape), which gives the lash band a little corner to tuck into...

Trim the lash band if it is too long. The key to great false lashes that look natural is placement and fit. Have a look at this video to know if you need to do a trim (and how to trim them).

Have you applied your false lashes, but they don't look in unison with your natural lashes?

Want to get your lashes looking seamless?

Lash placement is the answer!

It does take some practice, here are some tips for getting a great placement:

1. Practice getting your eyeliner close to your natural lash line.

Of course, you will want to avoid getting your eyeliner into your eyes. Just nice and close to your top lash line.

Once your eyeliner is tucked in close, it's just a matter of bringing your lashes in (point them upwards) and allowing them to click into place. Your eyeliner placement is really going to dictate where your false lashes will sit, so working at getting that nice and close!

FerroLiner Application Instructions

FerroLiner is a nourishing magnetic eyeliner, which is not the same as any other magnetic eyeliner on the market (you likely already knew), but that also means that the aloe vera base in it requires a little bit of love to ensure it behaves well...(We think the benefit outweighs the extra steps, since it'll nourish your lash line while you wear it

Shake eyeliner well. This will ensure good disbursement of the iron oxides (the ingredient that makes the formula magnetic). If you find it's getting a bit thicker, give it a good shake to mix things around and smoothen it out.

Wash your face. If you use a rich eye cream or oil based skincare products, whether makeup remover, wash or other, make sure you wash your face well to remove any of those remaining oils prior to eyeliner application as any oils may create a barrier on the skin that can interfere with the eyeliner getting a good 'stick' on your eyelids.

Prep your eyelids. After cleansing your lids, apply an eyelid primer or matte powder eye shadow to keep oils at bay and help with adhesion. ADDITIONAL NOTE: Some cream shadows that are smudge, water or oil proof have been reported to create a barrier that doesn't allow for a good hold to the skin. If you do use something like that, simply line your lash line/just above with a translucent powder to allow for the eyeliner to grab on. Making sure you line all the way along your lash line.

Tuck your eyeliner into your lash line. Since FerroLiner was serum-inspired, it contains lots of vitamins and minerals, so don't worry about getting it on your lash line - that's where you'd apply a serum! Obviously, we don't want it IN our eyes, but do yourself a favor and get it nice and close to your natural lashes because when you keep it really close to your lash line, that's where your false lashes will land - creating a seamless finish (and ultimately, that's what we're striving to achieve here!)

Apply 2-3 thin layersallowing the eyeliner to dry completely between application. Sometimes, if applying coats too closely together and before the previous coat has had time to dry, the base coat of eyeliner can lift entirely (thanks ALOE..just kidding, we love this superpower ingredient, but it can make things a bit finicky). Super annoying if you took your sweet time perfecting that first line. So, do yourself and your eyeliner a favor and give it a few minutes to dry before adding another coat (grab yourself a coffee, finish up your hair, sitting and waiting for it to dry on it's own can be like watching paint dry - 😴 ) TIP: If you're new to magnetic eyelashes or if you're having a bit of trouble in the beginning getting those magnets to clip into place, we would recommend going with three. The reason being that it seems to help with that initial 'pull' for the magnets to really grab onto. Overall bond once dried and applied is about the same but three coats does help when you're just learning the ropes!

Ensure adequate coverage to the inner and outer corners. If you have lifting, this is generally where it's going to happen, so just making sure you go along the inner and outer corner thoroughly on each coat. Remember how we said to do thin layers? The first might even look translucent - that's a-okay! Just let it dry and proceed with your next layer, you'll get great coverage with each one.

Allow eyeliner to dry before lash application. Once you’ve got your eyeliner applied, wait a few minutes for it to dry completely. This step is very important - prematurely putting lashes on may cause eyeliner to stick to the magnets and get tugged off.

Use a finishing powder or your favorite powder eyeshadow palate prior to application as oils on your skin may interfere with the eyeliners ability to stay planted on your lid. For an even more impermeable hold, start with a good eyeshadow primer, followed by the powder of choice.

When learning to use liquid eyeliner, it can be easier to draw when you have a guide line to follow. Using an angled brush and dark powder, draw a line along your lash line to give yourself a base line on where you will apply your liquid eyeliner. A powder line is more forgiving and also helps to deepen the lash line to create an even more cohesive lash look.

If you are not familiar or comfortable with liquid eyeliner, try applying the liner in the mirror with your chin tilted towards the sky, looking down at the mirror. This eliminates any creases or fine lines on the eyelid and makes it much easier to get a nice straight line. If you have a standing swivel mirror, use that tilted up towards you while you look down at it to achieve the same affect. This makes the liner even easier as you use the counter surface to steady your arm and handUsing your pinky as an 'anchor' will help you get a nice clean line. Take your time on your first coat.

When applying FerroLiner, apply as close to your natural lash line as possible, almost on top of it, this creates a bit of an L for the lash magnets to tuck right into and really helps to marry the false strip lashes to your own. Careful not to get product into your eyes.

If you have hooded eyes, hold this position for a minute while the liner dries to avoid transferring to the lid when you tilt your head back down or look up. Try to get your line thin as this helps ‘open up’ the eyes (see next point about required thickness)

Make sure that your line is thick enough to grab the magnets. If you prefer a thin line, start with that and once you’ve applied two-three coats and the liner is dry, try on the lashes, if they aren’t sticking the way you’d like (and you troubleshooted already), you may need to go a bit wider.

To remove the eyeliner, using a cue-tip or our lint free liner remover wands, soak with a gentle makeup remover or our zero-waste charcoal soap bars and gently glide over the liner until it comes off, follow up with your favorite face wash! Try our reusable cotton rounds for an even deeper clean!

Remove lashes from tray by the band (never by the lashes).

Full Lash Bands - Flex your lash band well (with clean hands)

This step will seriously set you up for an ultra comfortable lash fit!

Make sure your fingers are clear of any oils so that you don't accidentally transfer to the lashes and shorten their lifespan (keep them clean and they'll last 30+ wears!)

Our bands are made of cotton to ensure a lightweight and comfortable fit; however, they can still come a bit stiff after production, so flexing them back and forth in a U-shape between the magnets will help to get a nice contour when applying the lashes.

Bringing your lashes in for the kiss...

Bring your lashes to liner and allow the lash to ‘pop’ into place.

WANT A MORE DETAILED EXPLANATION FOR LASH POSITIONING AND APPLICATION?
If you're able to position them like a pro right out of the gate, feel free to skip over this part - but since we're here to support everyone from beginner to pro, if you need more tips on applying false lashes, read on..

The closer the magnet gets to your lash line, the more natural the lashes will look. This may take a couple of tries but once you get the hang of it, you’re all set!

Positioning Matters (if you're looking for that seamless finish...)
When you grab your lash with your tweezers, hold them tight, about half way down the lash when bringing them in so that they aren't flopping around. This will make your life much easier (watch the videos linked just above if you want to see what that looks like).

Apply with a mirror looking up at you

or

Apply in your mirror, with your chin tilted upwards

This seems to really help get your lashes close to your lash line. Plus, if you have hooded eyes - this is a game changer.

When applying your lashes, if you need to move them around, genly pull downwards and reapply.

Set and forget. After lashes are placed on, in about 5 minutes, the lashes bond into place for an all day hold. If you need to move the lashes after the setting period, doing so may cause the eyeliner to lift with the lashes, eyeliner reapplication may be
necessary.

When removing the lashes, gently pull from the outer corner and place back into case, along magnetic holding strip.

We recommend using our precision lash tweezers with magnetic lash segments to help with application.

Using your lash tweezers, remove lash segment from tray starting with outer corner.

Holding your segment close to the end of the lash (this will stop your tweezer from magnetizing to your lash) bring lashes to liner, allow the lash to ‘pop’ into place.

The closer the magnet gets to your lash line, the more natural the lashes will look.

As you craft your look, alternate segment application between eyes.

Repeat with each lash segment until you have all sections applied (or however many you want!)

This may take a couple of tries but once you get the hang of it, you’re all set!

When removing the lashes, gently pull using lash tweezers and place back into tray, along magnetic holding strip.

Avoid using mascara directly on false lashes to ensure longevity. If you want to use mascara to help blend, apply prior to strip lash application.

After use and before storing your lashes, if there is any eyeliner residue on the lash magnets, simply use your fingernail to scrape off.

Use a mild cleanser with our lint free remover wands to remove oils or other makeup residue if applicable.  Ensure bands are dry prior to storage.

If you have any mascara that happened to get on the lashes,
use a clean mascara spoolie to comb through and take off any chunks.

Follow these steps to ensure your lashes are ready for next use!

Take care of them and they’ll take care of you. Lashes should last 20-30+ wears with proper maintenance and care.
